DescriptionA Foil Press Operator in a wood manufacturing company has a specialized role that involves operating machines to emboss and imprint designs onto wood products. Here are some key duties and responsibilities:

Knowledge would normally be acquired through a high school diploma or GED.

One-year previous experience in manufacturing preferred.

Ability to read materials for accuracy of spelling, grammar and simple editing.

Ability to write to accomplish such tasks as completing forms or communicating simple instructions.

Ability to perform mathematics used to set up and operate machines and equipment.

The incumbent is familiar with their solutions. The problems are somewhat routine, and solutions are based on past practices. There are always alternative solutions available.

Ability to make decisions that are short-range and usually affect only a small group or work unit. Occasionally, other operations, services, individuals or activities may be affected.
