VelocImmune (VI) Next is a technology development group at Regeneron that invents and develops state-of-the-art tools for biologic drug discovery. We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist with experience in computational biology to join our bioinformatics research team at the Tarrytown location. The Scientist will operate at the interface of multi-faceted data analyses and computational technology development to support therapeutic advancement in multiple disease fields. The Scientist will be part of a cross-functional and highly collaborative team towards the creation of next generation cell and gene therapies.

A typical day in the life of a Scientist would include the following responsibilities:

  • Develop, apply and tailor computational methods for analyses of multi-omics datasets generated through cutting-edge sequencing technologies, including both single cell and bulk level, as well as shotgun and long read sequencing

  • Develop computational platforms and models (e.g. machine learning models) driven and trained by data

  • Work closely with web lab teams and clinicians for data processing, analysis, interpretation and visualization to support research in multiple stages of therapy development spanning discovery, pre-clinic and clinical studies

  • Self-motivated, passionate about computational data, and conduct research collaboratively in a team setting.

This role may be for you if you have the following:

  • B.S./M.S. in one of the following fields: Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related fields, with 2+ years of experience.

  • Proficiency in one of the commonly used programming languages, such as R, Python, Perl, Java, or Linux

  • Hands-on experience with analyses of high-throughput biological data; experience with single cell data or long read sequencing data analysis, or working experience with adaptive immune receptors will be a plus.

  • Passion for learning and exploring new fields

Salary Range (annually)

$92,500.00 - $151,100.00
