Monday - Friday day shiftBackground Check and Drug Screen RequiredVance Outdoors is a Employee Owned Company with 85 years of experience in the industry.SUMMARY: Entry Level Web Content & Marketing Project Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to content creation, print advertising, and online marketing in a firearm, hunting, and sporting goods retail environment (both brick-and-mortar and online). While they do not determine the overall strategic direction or specific project initiatives, this individual ensures that once projects and tasks are identified, they are assigned to the appropriate team members, completed on time, and meet quality standards. The supervisor will coordinate ongoing tasks such as adding new products to websites, updating promotional information, and ensuring accurate content and pricing. Other duties may be assigned.Project & Task Management Assign projects and tasks to appropriate team members. Oversee task completion, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to brand standards. Monitor deadlines, quality standards, and project deliverables. Maintain clear communication with the Market Strategy Manager and CIO about project statuses, roadblocks, or risks.Team Leadership & Development Supervise the daily work of the marketing and web content team, providing direction and support as needed. Conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations, offering coaching and guidance for professional growth. Foster a collaborative and efficient team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.Quality Control & Attention to Detail Review all marketing and web content (product descriptions, promotions, emails, social media, print advertising) for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company and industry standards. Ensure product promotions, pricing information, and item details are correct and up-to-date. Implement quality assurance processes and conduct spot checks on ongoing tasks. Performance Metrics & Reporting Track team performance using KPIs and analytics such as task completion rates, turnaround times, and marketing campaign outcomes. Provide regular reports to upper management, highlighting successes, bottlenecks, or areas for improvement. Recommend improvements to workflows and team processes based on performance data.Website Maintenance & Updates Oversee the addition of new products to online platforms, ensuring accuracy and adherence to promotional schedules. Coordinate periodic content refreshes, promotions, and seasonal campaigns on company websites. Ensure timely updates of product information, imagery, and pricing across all digital channels.Cross-Functional Collaboration Liaise with the inventory, sales, and product teams to stay updated on new arrivals, discontinued items, and inventory changes. Collaborate with the customer service team to address any product-related or marketing-related concerns from customers. Project & Process Optimization Identify opportunities to streamline project workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and optimize resource allocation. Recommend tools and systems (project management software, communication platforms) that could enhance team productivity. Document and refine best practices for content production and marketing campaign execution.Miscellaneous & Downtime Tasks Competitive Research: During slower periods, research competitor websites and marketing strategies to glean new ideas or identify market gaps. Team Training & Documentation: Develop or update training materials and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for team efficiency. Process Improvement Projects: Conduct mini-audits on team processes, content accuracy, and workflow, proposing improvements where needed. Marketing Trend Analysis: Stay informed about emerging digital marketing and content trends, presenting relevant insights or recommendations to management. Assist in Minor Troubleshooting: While not required to be an Adobe or HTML/CSS expert, offer basic troubleshooting guidance or help coordinate support for team members in need of technical assistance. Responsible for promoting a positive culture within the location/department. Enforces safety, health, and security rules. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. All other duties as required by management.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervises 5-10 employees in the assigned Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Requirements
  • 3-5 years experience with Web Content and/or Marketing
  • 3-5 years of project management
  • 3-5 years of supervisory & coaching experience
  • High level of detail
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
Salary Description $45,000 and up based on experience
