Responsibilities
  • Patient Care & Evaluation. Conduct a thorough assessment of each patient's medical status upon admission and throughout the patient's course of treatment; provide regular patient status updates
  • Treatment Administration. Assist in the implementation of the patient's treatment plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN); initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments using multiple access sites; administer IVP medications to dialysis patients
  • Documentation. Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner Nurse, in accordance with established plans.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe LPN working in Hemodialysis responsibilities include application/mastery of skills in area of specialization, guidance and general oversight to less experienced employees; may train new employees. The duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex issues, patient cases or technical skills.
