Job Title: Medical Assistant - The Villages, FLJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role does not involve injections or chart preparation. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care in a multi-floor outpatient cancer facility.
Responsibilities- Assist in drawing and processing labs
- Call patients back and bring them from the front desk to the examination room
- Perform phlebotomy and other related tasks
- Monitor physician schedules
- Conduct depression and pain scale screenings
- Document information for the physician
Essential Skills- Experience in patient care and medical assisting
- Proficiency in phlebotomy
- Knowledge of medical records and electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to measure blood pressure
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Phlebotomy experience and comfort with drawing blood

Work EnvironmentYou will be working in an outpatient cancer facility with a compassionate team dedicated to making a difference in patients' lives. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. There are opportunities for growth within the organization, and we support additional certification and training costs. Please note that this role does not involve working with pediatric patients.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
