  • The incumbent will be responsible for managing the maintenance operations for the electronic equipment on all buses in one of the five boroughs.
  • In this capacity the incumbent ensures all bus electronic equipment associated with the AFC system, bus radio, CCTV, destination signs and Keene equipment meet operational and service availability requirements of the operating locations.
  • Responsibilities include managing the performance of service calls, preventive maintenance, software & hardware installations.
  • This position is also responsible for personnel actions, preventive maintenance schedules, safety, parts availability, AFC facilities, scrapping and on-boarding all AFC equipment on the bus fleets.
  • The incumbent will be the single point of contact for depot management to ensure all their requirements and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
Education and Experience
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in business administration, or a related field and ten (10) years of full-time related experience, of which seven (7) must have been in a management/supervisory capacity.
OR
  • A satisfactory combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of electro-mechanical based revenue collection equipment.
  • Ability to solve complex maintenance problems and allocate maintenance resources throughout 29 work locations.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety procedures and practices that are essential in a Maintenance Operation environment.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
