Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a DevOps Engineer in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package. Responsibilities:
- Through a hands-on approach, conduct software engineering, code reviews and deliver innovative software tools, and technologies.
- Maintain deep levels of involvement in the implementation process.
- Ensure adherence to existing DevOps enterprise direction and architectural strategies.
- Function as a hands-on member of the DevOps teams - guiding & mentoring the team to design, document, develop, test, deploy and maintain products and solutions.
- This team provides critical services and supporting infrastructure that underlie our company's CI/CD efforts.
- Critical skills include the ability to follow DevOps best practices implemented across our team as well as plan and strategize on near-term and longer-term projects.
- Success in this position requires you to possess well developed critical thinking skills and can participate in an Agile Software Engineering delivery as an open-minded contributor who can help the team reach it its larger goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is related field required
- Critical technical skills include expertise in: Linux with strong familiarity with Python and Ansible.
- Additional beneficial skills include: Terraform, and OpenShift / Kubernetes as well as the common DevOps activities, practices and techniques found in highly automated environments.
- GitHub administrator training and/or certifications preferred
- RHEL or related certifications preferred
- Sr. level knowledge of Linux and associated operating systems
- Experience building, maintaining, and supporting enterprise tools (GitHub/GitLab)
- Follows versioning and release strategies with Git/GitHub
- Competence with Python and Bash
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (such as Ansible/Terraform)
