Duties Description Under the supervision of the Park Manager in charge of the Cave of the Winds for the Niagara Reservation, the incumbent performs journey level work in the primary trade of carpentry and semi-skilled work in masonry, painting, electrical and/or other trades in the repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment. •Perform journey-level carpentry work, including the installation, removal, maintenance, and repair of deck and stair structures within the attraction.•Conduct semi-skilled work in other trades including masonry, painting, electrical, and plumbing, to maintain and repair facility structures and systems.•Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and plumbing systems.•Supervise, train, and oversee the daily activities of permanent and seasonal staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.•Utilize and maintain a variety of small equipment and hand tools.•Operate park machinery, including tractors, trucks, excavators, skin steers, and mowers.•Provide excellent customer service by interacting with patrons and answering questions in a professional and helpful manner.•Track materials used for maintenance tasks and provide daily inspection reports on the conditions of facilities and equipment.•During the off-season, report to the warehouse for tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, prepping, staining, stacking, and transporting new and old lumbar.Although the work of the position is periodically inspected by the Park Manager, the incumbent is expected to work with considerable independence as is typical of a craftsperson.
