American Heritage Credit Union, a $5+ billion credit union, has an excellent opportunity available for a Financial Wellness Administrator.

This role will oversee all financial education programs in the credit union, both internally and externally, including developing educational materials, leading workshops, and providing coaching to members of the community. Build and maintain American Heritage Credit Union's Financial Wellness Program to offer financial literacy services to members, our community, and workplace partners. Work with various departments and areas within the credit union to ensure consistent messaging and programming across all areas. Develop and advise other departments on financial education programs to help them achieve business goals and improve our members' financial health.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Build, maintain, and administer American Heritage's Financial Wellness Program to offer financial literacy services to members, our community, and workplace partners, as well as work with various departments and areas within the credit union to ensure financial wellness initiatives are meeting our standards across all areas.
  • Develop and update educational materials including presentations, handouts, and digital content on various financial topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management.
  • Lead monthly educational workshops with America's Credit Unions, TruStage, or other subject matter experts. Conduct educational workshops, meetings, classes, and training relating to various financial literacy topics including but not limited to budgeting, debt consolidation, retirement planning, and other financial topics.
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive financial literacy programs tailored to the needs of the organization, workplace partners, and community.
  • Supervise engaging financial literacy programs for high school students based on State Government's legislations through various programs including but not limited to required school curriculum and Interactive Reality Fairs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, volunteers, and board members in alignment with the organization's financial wellness initiatives' values and goals; Supervise staff volunteers during financial wellness event days and have oversite of planning process/training meetings.
  • Serve as liaison with Workplace Partnership team in the curation or facilitation of financial wellness or product awareness content amplification strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and workplace partners to expand financial outreach and resources.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on the development of a robust digital financial wellness center aimed at enhancing the financial knowledge and well-being of our organization, workplace partners, and community.
  • Track performance of financial education initiatives by submitting metric decks and project updates. Provide management with appropriate tracking and reporting of financial wellness efforts.
  • Ensure all financial education programs and materials comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify program goals and objectives. Endorse and embrace American Heritage's commitment to our financial wellness initiatives which outlines management expectations for culture, communication, employee development, managing effectiveness, and community engagement.
  • Cultivate and manage vendor relationships related to financial education solutions.
  • Research new partnerships with vendors and software to improve our financial wellness outreach for new technologies and underrepresented demographics.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three to five years of experience in financial education, program management, or a related field.
  • Financial services and non-profit experience a plus.
  • Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field) in Finance, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must have CCUFC Designation (Financial Counseling Certification Program), or obtain within first year of employment.
  • Experience in designing and delivering educational programs preferred.
  • Experience with Eventbrite or other event tracking program preferred.
  • Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills – written, verbal, presentation - necessary for communicating with and servicing Credit Union members, staff, clients, and vendors while projecting a positive image as a representative for the Credit Union.
  • Proven ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Proven ability to conduct small and large group presentations.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage educational programs and materials.
  • Passion for improving financial literacy and helping individuals achieve their financial goals.
