Company Overview:
A leading Biopharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), established in 2020, is seeking to expand its team by hiring an Automation Engineer. Despite being a start-up, the company has achieved significant revenue growth and is now looking to further strengthen its team with this key addition.
Automation Engineer Role
The Automation Engineer supports CG&T facilities in Dublin and Columbus, OH, focusing on automation systems, testing, troubleshooting, and on-call support. Responsibilities include developing automation solutions, maintaining documentation, collaborating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with GMP guidelines.
Automation Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation solutions.
- Perform code configuration, document development, and testing.
- Handle Deviation Reports, CAPAs, and Change Controls.
- Create standard code and specification documents.
- Collaborate with various departments.
- Conduct training and presentations.
- Support new product and technology introductions.
- Manage operational support and troubleshooting.
- Provide documentation and support validation processes.
- Ensure compliance with standards and guidelines.
- Work with DTS for equipment compatibility.
- Lead projects and communicate across the organization.
- Coordinate and manage service provider contracts.
- Responsibilities span multiple locations in central Ohio.
- Clearly express thoughts in written documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automation, instrumentation, and controls
- Knowledge of process control, automation, and field instrumentation technologies
- Experience with process control network design and capital project lifecycle management
Preferred qualifications include experience with GMP biopharmaceutical production equipment and familiarity with GAMPs and GMPs.
