Position Summary

As the System Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of our ERP, WMS, and other enterprise systems. This will include the configuration and management of all API and EDI connectors through SPS Commerce and customer portals and leading the implementation of a new WMS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, troubleshooting, automation, and the management of complex enterprise environments.

This position is a critical, new role in our business and reports to our Director of Operations, though you'll work with teammates across the organization to break new ground and set new bars for the biggest name in magnetic building.

What We're Looking For

  • Actively manage and troubleshoot the Company's systems and infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure proper integration of the Company's WMS with our ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and other enterprise systems.
  • Act as key liaison between the Company and WMS provider during the integration.
  • Oversee data migration processes, ensuring data from the legacy system is accurately transferred to the new system.
  • Coordinate end-to-end connectivity between the ERP, WMS and retailer portals (e.g., Amazon Vendor Central) through EDI and / or API feeds.
  • Act as a designated “super user,” training others on the team and helping to troubleshoot issues.
  • Monitor system performance, uptime, and capacity to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Proactively identify system-generated issues and bottlenecks, troubleshooting and resolving them swiftly to maintain operational stability.
  • Utilize monitoring tools to analyze system health, performance, and security.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies to streamline existing operational processes (i.e., more automation) and enhance efficiency.
  • Create and maintain scripts and tools for system administration tasks, such as backups, monitoring, and deployments.
  • Manage and optimize the lifecycle of operating systems, servers, and other infrastructure components.
  • Maintain high availability of critical systems and services, ensuring backup and disaster recovery protocols are in place.
  • Provide technical guidance and own troubleshooting and resolving complex operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for operational transparency.
  • Implement security best practices, including user access controls, system hardening, and vulnerability management.
  • Assist with cross-functional system support, as needed

Desired Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, IT operations, or infrastructure management.

• 3+ Years Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• 3+ Years Experience setting up EDI and API connections with SPS Commerce (or other comparable EDI provider).

• Experience with Power BI, RDLC, and AL coding a plus!

• Experience with WMS Platforms and leading WMS implementations.

• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including fulfillment, inventory management, and supply chain processes.

• Strong knowledge of cloud-based WMS configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.

• Knowledge with barcode scanning technologies, RFID systems, and warehouse automation tools.

• Experience with managing or coordinating technology projects.

• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong interpersonal skills to train and assist system users.

• Aptitude to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to system reliability.
