Apex Systems is looking for quality professionals in the tech field to support a datacenter for a major client of ours in the South Bend Indiana. Title: Cable Technician
Location: South Bend- 100% on-site
Contract Length: 3 months to start
Pay Rate: up to 21/hr
Shift(s): core hours M - F (subject to change)
Start Date: Early February
Responsibilities:
- Internal support with phase 1 of this net new datacenter- to include receiving of IT equipment such as hardware, networking equipment, etc.
- Deign, layout, and installation of networking solutions on the hardware side (i.e.: routers, modems, switches, and cabling (fiber, Coax, ethernet, and more))
- Support of deployed solutions through full-cycle technical support and incident response- performing triaging, diagnostics, troubleshooting, break/fix, and implementation/deployment
- Documentation of tasks completed and meeting with team as needed
Requirements:
- A minimum of either an accredited degree in the field of technology (e.g.: computer science, information technology, networking, etc.) OR an active CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification(s)
- 1+ year of experience in a professional setting working with computers hands-on (preferably supporting hardware in desktop support capacity) or related field
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Knowledge of networking solutions and providing support through cabling
