Job Description :

Our client is seeking a New Monitoring/Project Coordinator to join their team in Seattle! This person works directly with multiple public relations teams within the company to monitor online news and forums, identify notable stories or posts, and manage the company's general public relations email account. This role is foundational to the overall operation of the company's public relations team, providing unique experience and insight into how public relations operates at a large company. In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, this position requires the ability to sift through high volumes of information, use various search tools, and contribute to reporting with speed and precision. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, extremely organized, internet savvy, and passionate about finding critical information amidst the noise.

  • Pay rate: $26 per hour
  • Location: Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor online news and forums to identify notable stories or posts relevant to Amazon's business.
  • Manage company's general public relations email account.
  • Read and assess high volumes of information to accomplish specific tasks.
  • Learn and use search tools to find critical information.
  • Contribute to reporting by entering high volumes of data with speed and precision.
  • Plan ahead, look around corners, and take initiative to improve inefficient processes.
  • Work in a global team environment, problem-solve, and exercise sound judgment and critical thinking.
  • Multitask, meet tight deadlines, and switch gears at a moment's notice.
  • React with appropriate professionalism and urgency to situations requiring quick turnaround.
  • Manage time effectively and work flex hours as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Experience in professional communications or public relations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flex hours
  • Experience using media monitoring/intelligence tools (e.g. Cision, Meltwater, Talkwalker) and use of advanced search techniques and boolean logic
  • Knowledge of Google, Bing, and other methods to search the internet
  • Ability to conduct quick and efficient research
  • Passion for processes, mechanisms, and data management
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Experience working in Salesforce and other knowledge management tools
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, including managing multiple accounts
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
