About the Role
As the Assistant Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the project team while gaining invaluable experience in managing large-scale educational construction projects. Working closely with senior project managers, you will be involved in the planning, coordination, and execution of K-12 school construction projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards in quality, safety, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction through completion.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Coordinate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and schedules.
- Monitor project progress and communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Contribute to managing project budgets, estimates, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and industry standards, particularly in K-12 construction.
- Develop leadership skills to eventually transition into a Project Manager role.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on K-12 projects.
- Knowledge of construction processes, including contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Desire to grow into a Project Manager role and take on additional responsibilities over time.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
