Job DescriptionThe Staff Pad is looking for a Director of Finance for a hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and information processing functions for our client, ensuring accurate, timely, and appropriate management and reporting of the organization's financial condition.*This is a HYBRID position. Required to go into office 1-2 days/week*Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:- Plan, organize, and coordinate the financial operations of Staff Pad to manage revenues, control expenditures, and conserve assets. - Safeguard Staff Pad's assets through appropriate internal controls. - Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP, GASB, organizational policies, and applicable regulations. - Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and reporting requirements. - Provide cash forecasting to meet operating and capital expenditure needs. - Direct general accounting, accounts payable, fixed assets, capital budget, grant billing, and travel functions. - Coordinate and prepare for year-end audits with external accounting firms and other agencies. - Develop and implement policies and procedures for Staff Pad's finance and accounting activities. - Lead special projects and assignments with organizational impact. - Develop the department's annual operating budget and prepare monthly performance reports. - Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting/Finance. - A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience handling complex accounting and finance issues, including financial statement preparation and analysis. - At least 3 years of successful supervisory experience. - A minimum of 6 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment. Physician group experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - In-depth knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and applicable laws and regulations. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). - Experience with process improvement initiatives. - Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees at all levels. - Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities. - Capacity to establish professional relationships and maintain confidentiality. - Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
