Overview:
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting with 1099 reporting and inquiries, researching tax tracker notifications and IRS levies, and reconciling and uploading documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Research tax tracker notifications and inquiries.
- Assist with 1099 reporting and inquiries.
- Research and track IRS levies.
- Reconcile accounts, check accounts assignments, and upload to system.
- Maintain desk manual.
- Back up Escheat and credit admin desk responsibilities.
- Respond to calls and correspondence promptly.
- Collaborate on special projects with Supervisor/Coordinator.
- Recommend and evaluate improvements and streamline opportunities in areas of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others and handle unpleasant situations tactfully.
- Positive attitude and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- 2-3 years of accounts payable experience or relevant college education.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- SAP experience preferred.
