Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills, particularly in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry. Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-Ray procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, particularly for pediatric patients. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, including medical history and treatment plans. Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when needed. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with advancements in dental practices and technologies. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with medical coding, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is a plus. Proficient in using dental software such as Dentrix for managing patient records. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification or training in dental assisting is highly desirable. Must be able to pass any required background checks or screenings as per clinic policies.
