POSITION

We are committed to creating the premier training environment for our athletes. We focus on maintaining high-quality facilities that enhance player development and provide an enjoyable experience for visitors. Our state-of-the-art training complex features multiple natural and artificial grass fields that require dedicated care, maintenance and preparation of all playing surfaces and related facilities used by the club.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Head Groundskeeper in the upkeep of three natural grass fields and two artificial turf fields.
• Implement and oversee turfgrass fertility, pest control, and fungicide application programs.
• Maintain and repair the irrigation system throughout the training complex.
• Collaborate with the academy manager and coaches to manage field usage for optimal playing conditions.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of groundskeeping equipment and tools.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping, ideally in a professional soccer facility.
• Familiarity with turf management practices and irrigation systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and repair.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

• Capable of working in various outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.
• Flexibility to assist with additional facility maintenance tasks as needed.
• Must respond to time-sensitive matters and monitor company communications effectively.
