TDS seeks a Fiber Specialist to join our Data Center Solutions team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years of Low-Voltage Cabling experience. Candidates must be hands-on and willing to travel. We have openings in Northern Virginia, Dallas, Phoenix, Chicago, Atlanta and Memphis.Responsibilities* Install Fiber cable in accordance with industry standards and customer specifications.* Understand and be able to follow fiber trunk pull diagrams.* Troubleshoot faulty fiber optic cable.* Be proficient in utilizing various testing methods and equipment such as VFL, Power Meter and OTDR.* Install and maintain network-related hardware.* Fiber splicing experience a plus.Qualifications* Candidates must be collaborative team players who are willing to roll up their sleeves and be hands-on while installing cabling and equipment but also possess excellent client-facing, communication, project documentation, organizational, follow-up and Microsoft Office skills - particularly Excel, for the project management aspect of this position.* Must be able to travel to multiple job sites around the US* Training and certifications are encouraged and fully reimbursed to help foster individual career development and enhance the knowledge base of our team.* We are looking for an enthusiastic, Fiber Technician who has strong communications skills and an excellent work ethic and desire to learn and grow.Compensation details: 25-45 Hourly WagePI5e0ab9f2c33b-37395-#######5
