Gavin de Becker & Associates (GDBA) protects the world's most influential and at-risk public figures. Founded in 1978 by 3-time Presidential appointee, Gavin de Becker, our firm's Protectors, Analysts, and Investigators are committed to our mission of protecting human life through the assessment, prediction, and management of violence.

A Field Travel Protector will support the GDBA protective mission whenever, wherever, and however it is needed. This support may come at a Residential Command Center, on a Field Detail, conducting an advance, or completing a Secure Transportation Operation (STO). Every Field Travel Protector must be experienced, flexible, adaptable, and able to travel at a moment's notice.

First year earnings for this role start at a minimum of $90,000 based on a 40-hour work week. This position offers earnings potential of up to $110,000+ commensurate with experience, overtime opportunities, bonuses, travel pay and more. A sign-on bonus and training academy scholarship is also available.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must live or be willing to relocate within 60 miles of Beverly Hills/Hollywood.

Who You Are:

GDBA is seeking qualified men and women from diverse backgrounds that can bring their skills and experiences to our firm's protective mission. GDBA's ideal candidate for a Field Travel Protector position possesses one or more of the following experience levels/credentials:

  • 3+ years of experience conducting close protection/executive protection operations for high-net-worth clients/at-risk clients. Experience working in one of or a combination of the following environments is preferred: Residential, Corporate, Technology, or Military/Law Enforcement Protective Security Details (PSD).
  • 5+ years working in a full-time certified law enforcement officer position(s). HR-218 (LEOSA) or CA CCW eligibility is ideal.
  • 3+ years working as a Paramedic (NREMT-P) or Registered Nurse (RN). Equivalent military medical experience is also accepted such as a Corpsman, Combat Medic, and Special Operations Medic experience.

Mission: The Safety, Privacy and Wellbeing of our Clients

  • Provide protection and logistical support at clients' homes and when they travel.
  • Detect and defeat adversaries.
  • Create and maintain readiness to meet any threat.
  • Survey and prepare locations prior to arrival of the protected person.
  • Coordinate and execute plans for security and medical emergencies.
