Sr. Director of Learning and Development (Remote or Hybrid)

Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate Sr. Director of Learning & Development to build enterprise capability related to manager development, career development, coaching, mentoring, high-potential development for individual contributors, and future-focused business skills development.

As the Sr. Director of Learning and Development, you will report to the VP of Talent and lead Autodesk's learning function, including the teams accountable for program design and development of learning & development and leadership development initiatives. You will lead the reimagining of Mentoring and the continued evolution of Coaching, while developing highly effective programs for high-potential individual contributors. You will create a learning environment that enhances collaboration, leverages technology, and provides employees with continuous access to learning. You will be passionate about delivering effective and measurable learning strategies, tools, and solutions that will drive business forward and enable our employees to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Establish strategic plans and objectives for the Learning & Development function.
  • Build and lead a skilled and responsive team.
  • Align business requirements to learning objectives and behavioral outcomes.
  • Research and make recommendations for new technologies and solutions in learning and development.
  • Influence Senior Leaders by building trust and inclusivity.
  • Manage multiple vendor relationships to ensure quality program design and delivery.
  • Continuously explore ways for Autodesk's learning and development approach to be more innovative.
  • Build positive partnerships with People Business Partners and stakeholders.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on talent development programs.
  • Cultivate and embed new mindsets and behaviors into our learning programs.
  • Build deployment and communication processes for program adoption.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • 15 years of experience in Learning, Manager Development, Organizational Development, or Management Consulting.
  • 5 years' experience managing a team of learning professionals.
  • Prior experience with Coaching, Mentoring, and high potential programs.
  • Proven expertise in curriculum design and development.
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles and various instructing methods.
  • Strong ability to give meaningful feedback and develop team members.
  • Experience managing budgets and vendors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to tailor approaches for a global business.
  • Experience in building strong relationships in the Human Resources Function.
  • Experience applying equity, inclusion, and diversity across the employee lifecycle.
  • Expert problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Strategic knowledge of next generation learning and development technology.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
  • Certification in learning evaluation methods preferred.

    Salary Transparency

    For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $207,000 and $334,840, based on experience and location. Offers may exceed this range and include bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
