Job Title: Locum Tenens Physician Job Specialty: Pathology - Anatomic and Clinical Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day, 5x8, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Board Certification Required Certifications: Not required (ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, Other) Must-Have: - Must be Board Certified - Specialty Skills in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required Job Description: - Provide full coverage starting March 1st, 8 AM - 5 PM with occasional night call; rarely will be required to come in. - Handle approximately 8 patient encounters per shift. - Work in multiple facilities within the Albuquerque, NM area, encompassing diverse branches of pathology. - Competency in Surgical Pathology, GI Pathology, GU Pathology, Neuropathology, Hematopathology (bone marrow, lymph nodes), Aspiration/biopsy of bone marrow, Interpretation of bone marrow aspirate/biopsy.- Skills in Cytology, both GYN and Non-GYN, performing FNAs.- Required to perform grossing or cutting frozen sections. - Pediatric tumor pathology and autopsies are not required. - Facility beds in department count: 300; Patient encounters per shift: 8 - Facilities require Board Certification. - Candidates should allow 30 days for estimated credentialing timeframe.
