We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratory practices and be proficient in various laboratory techniques. This role is essential for supporting our research and development efforts, ensuring that laboratory procedures are conducted efficiently and accurately. The Laboratory Technician will play a critical role in data collection, analysis, and maintaining compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Duties
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze samples using appropriate laboratory techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and results.
- Ensure compliance with GLP standards and safety regulations within the laboratory.
- Assist in the development of new laboratory procedures and methodologies.
- Utilize veterinary terminology when handling animal-related samples and data.
- Bulk and Finished client manufactures products.
- Puts Dyes into a percent solution formula
- Percent solution formula provides the correct specification to add color.
- Provide the specification to the compounder to color the batches
- Collect a sample of the finished bulk products and finished goods tot he test for PH, viscosity, odor, color and appearance (cloudiness)
- Determine if sample matches the specification. If rejecte3d, issue an NCMR (nonconference report) and notify customer service, purchasing and the customer.
- Generate C of A ( certificate of Analysis) for any bulk that leaves the building
- Retest bulk as needed for color, odor and appearance and change status in AS400 as needed.
- Write NCMRS for non- conforming and expired raw materials
- Maintain Standards and samples
- Enforce current good manufacturing procedures (CGMP's) and company policies
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
- Recertify to be a certified nose and Certified color vision Each year via designed tests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.
