Job Description :

Our biopharmaceutical client is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to join their team!

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2nd and 3rd shift openings

Type: Contract to hire

Pay: $28-$37/hr, depending on experience

This role involves daily operations in the following areas:

  • Performing weighing and dispensing materials.
  • Operating filtration systems.
  • Inoculating mammalian or cytokine cells.
  • Conducting fermentation and harvest processes.
  • Managing chromatography columns and TFF operations.
  • Performing in-process testing, including pH, conductivity, spectrophotometer, osmometer, cell counts, and more.
  • Preparing media and buffer solutions.
  • Accurately completing Batch Records and other cGMP documentation in a timely manner.
  • Removing and disposing of soiled materials from manufacturing areas.
  • Ensuring that manufacturing areas meet cleanroom standards and conditions.
  • Reporting any nonconformance or events occurring during the shift to the Supervisor.
  • Assisting with technology transfers from Process Development to cGMP Manufacturing.
  • Adhering to all safety, cGMP, and company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Performing additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintaining compliance with all company policies and standards.

Requirements

Education:

  • Associate degree or higher in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the biologics industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Special Skills

Language Skills:

  • Basic verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to comprehend technical information, procedures, batch records, and related documents.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Reasoning Skills:

  • Ability to operate complex systems and equipment in alignment with current GMPs, SOPs, and safety standards with minimal supervision.
  • Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for equipment and manufacturing processes.
  • Capacity to work independently, follow detailed instructions, and collaborate effectively within a team.

Computer and Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and data management tools.
  • Understanding of GMP and safety requirements.
  • Familiarity with biotechnology operations, including aseptic filtration systems, fermentation processes, inoculation processes, chromatography columns, and TFF steps.
