Position Overview:

We are actively seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist (PT) for our Outpatient Clinic in Westport, CT. This role offers the possibility of temporarily increasing hours to cover additional shifts. Our Outpatient Rehab Clinic in Westport serves as a flagship location, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team focused on enhancing patient health through integrated services.

As part of this dynamic team, you will engage in collaborative care across rehabilitation, pain management, and wellness disciplines, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities equipped with private treatment spaces and modern gyms designed to support comprehensive recovery for all patients.

Specialty Programs at our clinic include: Balance & Falls (Safe Steps), Cancer Rehabilitation, Complex Spine, Concussion, Dry Needling, Gender-Affirming Rehab, Headache Management, Chronic Pain Management, Pelvic Health, Sports Medicine, Thoracic Outlet, and Vestibular Therapy.

The Physical Therapist (PT) will independently evaluate and devise treatment strategies for patients with acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, leading to maximized functional independence. You will assess key physical parameters, including strength, mobility, pain levels, and functional abilities, to tailor personalized treatment approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical function, including strength, mobility, and balance, identifying individual needs and changes related to age or health status.
  • Develop customized, patient-centered treatment plans aimed at optimizing movement function.
  • Deliver and coordinate patient care, leveraging effective interventions such as therapeutic exercises, modalities, and clinical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient transitions and discharge planning, recommending community resources as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Program with a BS, master's, or doctorate degree.
  • Active or temporary license in CT.
  • CPR certification.
  • New graduates will be considered.
