Job Description :

The Estimator/Project Manager is an integral associate role within our Substation, Electrical Construction, and EPC business. This position involves managing contract-related responsibilities throughout both the tendering and project execution stages of assigned projects. Key responsibilities include analyzing customer specifications, reviewing requests for quotations, evaluating contract documents, managing invoicing processes, and handling all associated commercial, legal, and technical documentation. The role may involve occasional overnight travel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare job and project estimates while supporting team members in project estimation.
  • Analyze customer specifications and bid documents to identify potential commercial and legal risks.
  • Develop detailed scope-of-work packages for subcontractors.
  • Assist in drafting and issuing subcontract agreements.
  • Manage customer invoicing processes and ensure timely preparation.
  • Upload and organize documents in customer databases.
  • Draft concise modifications to customer specifications and bid documents.
  • Coordinate crew schedules and availability with the General Foreman and customers.
  • Create estimates, legal documents, and proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Facilitate internal risk review meetings and contribute to preparation efforts.
  • Assist in identifying prime contract flow-down terms for supplier and subcontract agreements while communicating HR and insurance requirements to internal teams.
  • Provide project management support throughout the execution phase.
  • Collaborate with General Foreman and Foreman on change order preparation and customer communication.
  • Support claims preparation, warranty administration, and incident reporting.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including permits, estimates, and change orders.
  • Assist with Root Cause Incident Reporting processes.
  • Act as a functional representative when addressing matters with customers.
  • Assist in creating and providing As-Built documentation.
  • Travel to project meetings as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ Years of estimation experience (Preference within the utility construction sector)
  • 3+ Years of contracts related experience
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Ability to analyze complex commercial and contractual risks
  • Strong MS suite skills
