DescriptionThe Hotel Operations Assistant Manager is responsible for registering and assigning rooms to guest, issuing room keys (cards), transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guest accounts, making and confirming reservations, and presenting statements and collecting payments from departing guest. Responsible for day-to-day supervision of Hotel Operations. Performs other related duties as assigned.Requirements•Greet, register, and assign rooms to hotel guests•Verify customers' credit and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation•Make and confirm reservations•Issue room keys•Keep records of room availability and guest accounts•Compute bills, collect payment and make charge for guest•Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary•Advise housekeeping staff when rooms are vacated and ready for cleaning•Maintains a clean and sanitary work area•Handles complaints, settles disputes and resolves grievances and conflicts.•Trains front desk clerks on operational functions, i.e.: computers, equipment•Trains staff on Company policies and procedures•Provide leadership to staff, including coaching for improvement•Monitors customer service levels•Prepares schedules•Complete walk through of the Casino and public areas•Receive calls from employees calling in sick and adjust the schedule accordingly.•Approve payroll•Keep track of the availability of the different room types and close them as needed•Monitor all third party reservation web sites for room inventory•Other duties as assignedQualifications•High School Diploma, or equivalent•At least 2 years of related work experience•Must be at least 21 years of age•Must be able to effectively communicate with supervisors, peers and guests•Must be able to read, write and speak EnglishThe above information on this job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed byemployees within this classification.
