Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee multiple auto repair franchise locations in the Maryland metropolitan area. The GM will have full responsibility for all operational aspects of the businesses. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the automotive repair industry and possess the leadership skills necessary to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction across all stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple auto repair locations, ensuring all shops run efficiently and in alignment with company standards.
  • Manage, mentor, and coach store managers and automotive technicians, ensuring that team members meet performance goals and adhere to standardized processes.
  • Lead and manage sales efforts, both personal and team-wide, to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement business strategies, focusing on goal-oriented environments to improve operational performance.
  • Utilize analytical skills to review reports, identify areas for improvement, and develop actionable plans to address challenges.
  • Roll out improvement strategies to staff, providing ongoing coaching and follow-up to ensure successful execution and lasting results.
  • Ensure customer service excellence by standardizing processes across locations and continuously working to improve customer interactions and shop appearance.
  • Maintain a structured approach to operations, organizing work effectively and ensuring efficient reporting and communication with the owner.
  • Identify individual motivations of staff members to inspire and drive peak performance.
  • Be hands-on and willing to step in when necessary to demonstrate processes, cover gaps, and lead by example.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a management role within the automotive repair industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, with a strong understanding of managing sales teams and personal sales performance.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive repair processes, services, and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, developing, and managing store managers and technicians.
  • Proven ability to work in a goal-oriented environment and drive results through data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills with a structured approach to managing multi-location operations.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and contribute where needed, leading by example.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to report and communicate regularly with ownership.
