Position Overview:
As a Travel Nurse specializing in Obstetrics, you will provide exceptional direct and indirect patient care in the OB/GYN and nursery settings. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and planning individualized patient care.
- Collaborating with physicians on patient condition and diagnostic study results.
- Swiftly responding to changes in patient condition or treatment.
- Participating in performance improvement activities.
- Administering medications competently based on patient age and condition.
- Performing neonatal resuscitation and care for laboring patients.
- Conducting thorough head-to-toe assessments and regular reassessments.
- Formulating and evaluating individualized care plans.
- Providing clear communication with the charge nurse, co-workers, and physicians.
- Coordinating and supervising patient care as needed.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Assisting physicians with labor/delivery, gynecological, and newborn procedures.
- Demonstrating flexibility and the ability to thrive in high-stress situations.
- Treating patients and families with respect, addressing their psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Involving patients and families in care plans and decisions.
- Upholding professional relationships across departments.
- Ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with current standards.
