All of our formulas are made in house by our expert chemists, and bottled and distributed from our own facility.General SummaryThe Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements. Primary / Key Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesOversees all QA/QC employees and their responsibilities. Reviews and approves all aspects of operations, including but not limited to Standard Operations Procedures, Deviations, Change Controls, Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions, Out-Of-Specification investigations, ect. Performs internal audits throughout the organization. Oversees the operations of Quality Unit including product releases of all incoming materials, relabeled/repackaged products for storage and shipping of products.Prepares and approves all SOPs prior to implementation.Validation of suppliers according to SOP. Maintains the change control, deviations systems, training program, Investigations and tracking of CAPA.Conducts internal audits, risk assessments and annual quality reviews and prepares applicable reports, including recalls (if any).Oversees the calibration program of lab equipment.Keeps the management informed of any significant risks and non-conformities.Hosts inspections if a government agency or customer requests one. Reviews product / market regulatory requirements and ensures Kira Labs complies with relevant legislationReviews and maintains completed batch records and work orders.Assists operations with daily activities that need quality attention.Involved in other projects that the CFO assigns. RequirementsEducation and/or Experience and QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Science or a related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesThe success of this candidate must be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently as well as supportive to management. Kira Labs is a small beauty manufacturer with a small multidisciplinary team that has experience in developing and producing successful and recognizable beauty brands. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Excel Working knowledge of file sharing and data managementAbility to rapidly multitask & execute under tight deadlines Understanding of Quality and GMP Ability to anticipate problems and proactively resolve potential blockersHigh level of energy and enthusiasmExtremely flexible & willing to pivot in a fast paced, changing environmentSelf-starter who can execute projects that align with company objectivesComfortable working with staff across several departments Management / Supervisory AuthorityOversees quality in all aspects in the organization. Oversees quality control inspectors and laboratory technicians. Ensures that the positions responsibilities are being executed to their best abilities and that every shift is covered by quality department staffing.
