The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for an Assistant Director of Banquets to join the Events Team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property has 900 rooms (including cottages and villas), over 250,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets, including 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, a marketplace, an ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

In this role, you will oversee 180 Front of House Team Members, 5 Banquet Managers, and 3 Banquet Set-Up Managers, reporting directly to the Director of Banquets.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader with a passion for motivating a large team of food and beverage professionals and elevating service. At least 3-5 years of leadership experience in banquets is required. High volume luxury hotel experience and Union management experience is a plus.

• Classification: Full-Time
• Shift: Various – must have availability to work weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
• Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

As an Assistant Director of Banquets, you would be responsible for assisting the Director in the direction and administration of the Banquet and Catering operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
