Immediate need for a talented Technician - Engineering (Entry Level). This is a 10+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Pensacola, FL(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $25 - $28/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and or electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of all manufacturing and facilities equipment.
  • Supervise the upgrades/modifications to all equipment in order to maintain an “As New Status” (Includes function and appearance).
  • Identify key areas for improvement and execute the corrective action.
  • Manage and execute small scale equipment & facility projects.
  • Perform and execute Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Execute equipment startup, equipment support and calibration.
  • Supervise contractors (plumbers, electricians, etc) and coordinate mechanical assemblies.
  • Communicate in timely manor relevant information pertaining specific programs and engineering disciplines.
  • Lead FMEAs for equipment upgrades, changes or obsolescence.
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis in problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Train/Mentor Maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and problem solving.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Key Skills: Construction/Contractor management, mechanical aptitude, P&ID's/structural/mechanical/electrical prints .
  • Knowledgeable of engineering principles and common commercial components and the ability to apply them.
  • PLC knowledge and experience.
  • Lean experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of engineering standards and safety codes.
  • Working knowledge of facility related infrastructure, boilers, compressors, etc.
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and processes
  • Working knowledge of MS applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Understanding of AutoCAD use and application, working knowledge a plus.
  • Three to five years of applicable experience in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering disciplines.
  • Or entry level with a Bachelors degree in mechanical, chemical engineering or equivalent experience is required.
