About the role
We are looking for a Smart Contract Engineer with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset to take ownership of critical components of our new Layer 1 blockchain ecosystem. You will design, build, and maintain essential smart contracts while collaborating across teams to ensure a seamless and efficient platform. This position demands a mix of technical expertise, creativity, and initiative to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of our ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Take ownership of designing, coding, testing, and deploying smart contracts that power the blockchain's core functionality.Design secure, efficient, and scalable smart contracts and SDKs for token standards, governance mechanisms, staking rewards, and cross-chain interoperability.Work hand-in-hand with our protocol engineering team to align smart contracts with Layer 1 infrastructure and ensure optimal performance.Identify and resolve challenges across the smart contract lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment, with an emphasis on high quality, scalable code.Proactively identify potential vulnerabilities, implement secure development practices, and support rigorous internal and external audits.Deliver solutions in a fast-paced, iterative development environment, adapting quickly to feedback and changing requirements.Create comprehensive documentation and provide technical support to help developers onboard seamlessly to our platform.Hire, teach, and mentor junior engineers.Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of Rust, C, C++ or other blockchain-focused programming languages.Deep understanding of blockchain principles, decentralized applications, and token standards.Proven ability to manage the complete lifecycle of smart contract development with minimal supervision.Experience with testing, debugging, and deploying smart contracts in real-world environments.Familiarity with smart contract vulnerabilities (e.g., reentrancy, front-running, gas limits).Experience in secure development workflows and participation in security audits.Ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced team environment and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.3+ years of professional experience in blockchain development or a closely related field.Previous experience with Layer 1 or Layer 2 blockchain projects is highly desirable.#J-18808-Ljbffr
