JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking to hire an experienced Electrical Engineer that is looking for a new challenge selling and Designing Lighting Controls and Fixtures. They are a trusted leader in innovative lighting and controls solutions and are seeking a driven Controls Specification Sales Associate to join their team. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in electrical engineering or specification sales who are passionate about providing technical expertise and building strong professional connections with electrical engineers across Georgia. Other Key Responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers: Build and maintain relationships with electrical engineers, serving as their primary resource for lighting and controls solutions.
• Drive Specifications: Leverage your technical knowledge to ensure Southern Lighting Source products are specified in project designs and plans.
• Provide Technical Support: Act as an expert resource for engineers, offering guidance on lighting and control systems, product applications, and system design. • Support Project Success: Work alongside engineers, designers, and contractors to deliver seamless project execution from specification through completion.
• Expand Market Presence: Represent Southern Lighting Source at industry events, trade shows, and professional association gatherings to strengthen relationships and promote solutions.
• Stay Informed: Keep up with the latest advancements in lighting and controls technology to provide forward-thinking solutions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Completion of Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of Experience working for an Electrical Engineering firm or working for a Lighting company as an Electrical Engineer
• Ability to Travel up to 70% of the time around Atlanta Metro area
• Valid Drivers License and the ability to pass a drug screen.
• Strong Analytical and problem solving skills to create Electrical Engineering drawings for customer specifications
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Prior professional work experience selling Lighting Controls or Lighting Fixtures
Compensation:
$100,000 - $1250,000 per year annual salary.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
