As a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Retail Bakery and Big Box Store Bakery sales and distribution, the Director of Sales develops, articulates and executes sales strategies and objectives to meet sales growth goals.
Responsibilities
Lead the annual market planning and development of Retail Bakery and Big Box Store sales targets for regional and national territories.Develop distributor, broker and customer relationships that support sales growth; establish and execute strategies to ensure sales targets are achieved.Measure monthly, quarterly, and annual results against sales goals and develop action plans to remediate performance shortfalls or accelerate growth opportunities.Contribute to month and quarterly sales forecasting and annual budget development.Collect and analyze customer and consumer insights that contribute to sales strategy development and execution.Work cross-functionally with procurement teams, inventory management teams, and internal/external distribution resources to ensure product availability and customer order fulfillment; establish best-in-class demand planning communication.Document and communicate customer insights related to fulfillment, product quality, innovation opportunities, and partnership improvement.Retail Bakery and Big Box Store lead generation and engagement strategy; formal sales activity tracking through company provided software programs; CRM database management.Preparation of professional quotes and business proposals.Other duties may be assigned as the business dictates.Key Attributes of a Successful Candidate

Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent direct field professional experience. 7+ years of food sales experience, 5+ years of experience in the Retail Bakery and/or Big Box Store Bakery specifically.Excellent customer service and sales skills.Strong verbal and written communicator.Excellent phone and presentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and sales software programs.Good negotiation and problem-solving skills.Must be willing to travel to customer locations, company headquarters, and trade shows as needed.Ability to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays as necessary.#J-18808-Ljbffr
