Job Description :

As a Buyer/Purchaser at BLOX, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for our modular construction and architectural projects. You will play a key role in ensuring timely procurement while managing budgets and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Your expertise will help streamline operations and support the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and procure materials, supplies, and services required for ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating terms, prices, and delivery schedules. Conduct supplier evaluations to ensure consistent quality and performance.
  • Monitor and track project budgets, ensuring all procurement activities align with cost targets and financial guidelines.
  • Oversee stock levels, reorder points, and manage inventory to ensure materials are available when needed, avoiding delays or shortages.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, vendor agreements, invoices, and payments. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and trends for management review.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and designers to anticipate material needs and ensure specifications are met.

Ensure procurement activities adhere to regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the construction, architecture, or manufacturing sectors. Experience with modular construction or pre-fabricated materials is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software, MS Office, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and industry best practices is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
