Maintenance Technician (1st and 2nd Shift) - Strohwig Industries - Richfield, WI
A Maintenance Technician III is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of CNC machinery and other equipment. They perform maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and safely, troubleshoot and diagnose issues with CNC machines and equipment, and maintain all equipment in the shop. A Maintenance Technician III also collaborates daily with the Maintenance Manager about daily tasks for the team and discusses any complex necessary machining repairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses issues with CNC machines and equipment.
- Teach Maintenance Technician Is and IIs how to troubleshoot and diagnose machine issues.
- Calibrates machines to maintain precision and accuracy in production.
- Ensures that CNC machines and equipment meet safety standards and regulations.
- Suggests improvements to enhance machine performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Performs maintenance and repairs on the building and all equipment inside the building, including air conditioners, fans, lighting, painted shop lines, overhead cranes, forklifts, cleaning equipment, etc.
- Keeps organized documentation of what maintenance is performed on all equipment.
- Engages in daily discussions with the Maintenance Manager about daily tasks for all team members in the maintenance department.
- Requires working on and with aerial lifts.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Great mechanical skills.
- Strong interest in industrial maintenance, machine tools, electrical wiring, diagnosing mechanical issues, welding, and building maintenance.
- Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to use various hand tools effectively and safely, including measuring tools, wrenches, files, and different tools associated with maintenance/repair work.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols.
- 5+ years of CNC machine repairs and maintenance.
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry skills and familiarity with various software programs.
- Strong team leadership skills and training abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance.
- Apprenticeship or vocational training.
- 10+ years of CNC machine repairs and maintenance.
- High school degree or equivalent.
