Position Purpose:An Operations Lead is a Utility position providing dependable and versatile knowledge, skills and abilities with a strong ability to adapt and perform at a high level in assigned area. Essential Functions:In addition to standard Assembly or Materials Essential Functions must be able to:• Production (Assembly):oSafely perform a wide variety of Production processes in assigned area and cross train throughout the department.oEnsure safety compliance always and communicate safety updates to procedures as needed.oPerform multiple equipment set-ups and changeovers as needed.oPerform problem solving and troubleshooting activity to resolve minor to moderate issues and escalate moderate to severe issues to the Production Coordinator or Production Supervisor.oWork on the line to maintain takt times.oObtain/maintain Harvey Ball Level 4 in assigned areas.oActively participate in incident/accident investigations.oWork to reconcile red tag/rework activity.oParticipate in process improvement projects and act as subject matter expert.oAct as a mentor and resource to their peer group.oMaintain regular attendance.oOther duties as assigned.• Materials:oSafely perform a wide variety of Materials processes in assigned area and cross train throughout the department.oEnsure safety compliance always and communicate safety updates to procedures as needed.oTrain to safely operate all material handling equipment.oEnsure material handling processes are supporting established inventory and productivity levels.oObtain/maintain Harvey Ball Level 4 in assigned areas.oActively participate in incident/accident investigations.oParticipate in process improvement projects and act as subject matter expert.oPerform problem solving and troubleshooting activity to resolve minor to moderate issues and escalate moderate to severe issues to the Materials Coordinator or Materials Supervisor.oAct as a mentor and resource to their peer group.oMaintain regular attendance.oOther duties as assigned.Education and TrainingHigh School diploma or GED requiredMinimum Qualifications• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required.• Demonstrates thorough understanding of the parts, processes and equipment for the assigned area.• Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and work well in a team environment.• Computer literate using Windows based software.• Assembly experience preferred (if assigned to Assembly)• Material handling equipment experience preferred (if assigned to Materials).• Ability to read and understand blueprints with geometric tolerancing preferred.• Must remain in good standing regarding safety, quality, policy, performance and attendance (2nd written warning or higher is no longer in good standing). Physical Demands• Stand and walk for extended periods of time• Lift up to 40 lbs frequenty• Perform repetitive work• Operate material handling equipment• Computer workEnvironmental Conditions• Exposure to manufacturing and warehouse environmentBehavioral Traits • Ability to work independently and assist Coordinator/Supervisors as directed.• Flexibility -Learn and perform a wide range of operations processes and change between them frequently as directed.• Leadership - Ability to lead a group in a common direction.Hendrickson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
