Job DescriptionThis role is an exciting opportunity to support the Professional Tools business in Orange, VA. You will work with all levels of the organization to ensure continuous compliance and improvement of quality across the organization. In addition, you will manage, mentor, and provide strategic direction to staff; organize, plan and advise the administrative activities required for operational measurement and budgets; and provide industrial engineering expertise and resource-level responsibilities for EC/project implementations.Emerson's global Professional Tools business is an equal opportunity employer, offering the broadest portfolio of reliable tools and technologies for those working in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades!   • Manage or make recommendations for resource allocations to implement plant-wide EC.
  • Supervise and report on manufacturing process and quality management system performance opportunities, and work with the organization towards improvements.
  • Assign a person in their department to be responsible for the DCN system.
  • Help develop and manage the annual capital budget.
  • Help develop and manage the annual cost reduction budget.
  • Coordinate with Division Sourcing to maintain vendor tooling.
  • Coordinate or perform I.E. activities.
  • Perform special projects as required.
  • Write ECs and conduct EC meetings.
  • Coordinate the development and management of the quality system.
  • Coordinate resource allocations between assessment and corrective activities.
  • Designated ISO representative.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of computers and ability to manage web-based applications
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and apply written instructions, procedures, and technical standards
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable driving improvement, taking initiative and being hands-on
  • Legal authorization to work within the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
