Position Description: Shipping/Receiving Clerk Reports to: Shipping/Receiving Team Lead Direct Reports: None Purpose: The Shipping/Receiving Clerk ensures timely and consistent receipt, and shipping of material and products per customers' requirements and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is also responsible for proper record keeping of all received and shipped material and products. Responsibilities:
- Arrange carrier pick-ups per customer purchase order specifications and/or shipping instructions.
- Put away received product in the appropriate warehouse/building location.
- Utilize IQMS, the Company's MRP, to process incoming and outgoing shipments quickly and accurately, including all Kanban requirements.
- Report damaged, defective, or questionable material conditions immediately to the department supervisor and delivery company.
- Package goods in shipping boxes/containers and prepare mailing labels and shipping documents.
- Fill out bill of lading and various other forms used by freight carriers.
- Process Hazardous Material according to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), SOP and the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) Program.
- Compare identifying information, part numbers, serial numbers, counts, weights or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bill of lading.
- Utilize scales in preparation for shipments.
- Maintain adequate supply of shipping and receiving materials on hand.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area(s) and follow safety regulations.
- Communicate with customer service, planner, team leads, and quality to ensure product is shipped as required.
- Communicate and resolve receiving issues and delays with relevant buyer.
- Support cross training of team members to allow for maximum flexibility in support of changes, customer demand or time off.
- Partner with other departments to implement process improvements and lean transformation projects.
- Operate forklift or handcart to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping platform to storage or work area.
- This position requires 100% onsite attendance

- 1-2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience using a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, IQMS preferred.
- Experience using UPS/FEDEX or other similar carrier software.
- Must be able to regularly lift 30 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Work Hours: 7:00AM - 3:30PM
