Role Summary:

The AOG Response Specialist II is responsible for developing solutions to Aircraft-on-ground event(s) including MRO requirements at Alaska (AS). As an individual contributor, this role makes recommendations to solve urgent or immediate logistics and procurement event(s) by applying industry knowledge.

Key Duties:
  • Analyze and administer system-wide material support for Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG), deferred maintenance, and heavy maintenance requirements.
  • Create and manages overall life cycle of requisition through to receipt, issuance of material to the aircraft, and return of off-units.
  • Review technical acceptance and make a recommendation, utilizing aircraft technical manual of the units, to the aircraft in respect to aircraft material effectivity, to ensure compliance with maintenance manual references.
  • Partner with various M&E stakeholders and any other mandated programs to resolve AOG event(s).
  • Manage arrival time for materials to the Maintenance Operations Manager on duty and immediately report any change of status which will affect aircraft ready time (ETR).
  • Stay abreast of regulations and restrictions for deferred maintenance items, as specified by the Minimum Equipment List (MEL), Configuration Deviation List (CDL), Planning time Controlled (PLT) and Borrowed Part (BP). As documented in the General-Purpose Manual (GPM)

Job-Specific Experience, Education&Skills:

Required

  • 2 years of experience in material support department (e.g., stores, repairs, purchasing, material control, or maintenance), preferably in an airline or third-party maintenance vendor operation.
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in business, or 2 years of experience in procurement and logistics or related area in lieu of this degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to prioritize and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening).
  • Comfortable interfacing with all levels within the Maintenance&Engineering organization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S

Preferred

  • Experience in procurement and logistics.
  • Knowledge relating to the transportation of aircraft materials.
  • Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) proficiency and other related aircraft manuals.

Salary Range: $74,400 -- $111,600 / year Salary Details:

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

Note:We don't typically hire at the top of the range.
