Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for participating in the launch of new and revised products, establishing efficient production processes, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met in a cost-effective manner.Responsibilities
  • Participate in the manufacturing launch of new and revised products, establishing production processes, sequences of operations, routings, work instructions, and equipment/tooling requirements.
  • Create manufacturing routings, equipment programming, time studies, work instructions, and tooling requirements to facilitate the manufacturing process on the production floor.
  • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to optimize production processes and ensure designs are within the company's capabilities.
  • Prepare, suggest, and maintain detailed layouts of processes and related equipment.
  • Optimize labor resources, systems, and flow creation while reducing waste. Improve existing operations for increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings through Lean teams and perform time studies as required.
  • Collaborate with sales, planning, and design engineering staff to ensure efficient production methods and quality results.
  • Design, develop, test, source, and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for the purchase of machinery and equipment according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
  • Represent manufacturing/engineering on cross-functional teams.
  • Support production line, engineering, quality, and manufacturing with improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
Essential Skills
  • Manufacturing engineering experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a thorough understanding of operations, equipment, and tools
  • Mechanical Engineering and manufacturing process knowledge
  • A.S. degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • CAD/CAM proficiency
  • Knowledge in CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, metal chemical surface treatments, assembly, and tooling design
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ProE, Virtual Gibbs, or similar programs
  • Computer proficiency

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is dynamic and involves collaboration with various departments including engineering, quality, and production. You will work with advanced manufacturing tools and equipment, and will engage in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing techniques. The role requires a high level of computer proficiency and the ability to work with CAD/CAM systems.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $41.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
