Job Details AMN Healthcare is partnering with a Leonardtown, MD school district to hire a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to work with one of the top districts in the area, providing services to children of all ages. Generally, the PT will conduct assessments, build and execute effective treatment plans, and educate students to reduce pain, improve movement, and restore function.Responsibilities for this role include:&bull Partner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to help students restore and maintain their physical functions.&bull Screen and evaluate students referred to Physical Therapy treatment.&bull Appropriately collect data, report findings.&bull Diagnose movement dysfunction and create personalized treatment plans to help patients reduce pain, improve movement, and restore function.&bull Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services as required.&bull Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards.&bull Participate on a collaborative team and maintain clear communication with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student treatment.School Physical Therapy (PT) assignments are typically 9 months in length but can vary from 4 to 26 weeks (about 6 months) depending on the contract.
