Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical (Med Surg) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week, 7 pm - 7 am Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Med Surg License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: Meditech experience highly preferred Job Description:- Work in a 39-bed unit primarily focusing on Med Surg with some telemetry.- Manage patient ratios typically of 1:6.- Provide care for patients including those with pacemakers, monitoring, and potassium level management; no acutely cardiac patients.- Optional, but beneficial, to have basic telemetry experience.- Flexibility to float to other Med Surg units within the scope of practice if needed.- Wear royal blue scrubs (not provided by the employer).- Hospital may call off 1 shift for every 4 weeks worked, though this is rarely used.- Participate in the orientation process with required certifications if not already possessed.- Be prepared to manage a dynamic patient and team environment during night shifts.Please ensure you arrive with housing arrangements, as affordable housing can be a challenge in the area.
