- Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm - CLOSED FOR 1-HOUR LUNCH

About the role
Assists in examinationand treatment of patients under direction of Physician, Advanced Practitionerand/ or RN in compliance with state practice acts and regulations.
EssentialFunctions:
- Interviews patients,measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight,and height, and records information on patients' charts
- Prepares treatmentrooms and patients for examination
- Cleans and sterilizesinstruments
- Inventories and ordersmedical supplies and materials
- Operateselectrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostictests
- Gives injections ortreatments and performs routine laboratory tests
- Schedules appointmentsand makes follow up phone calls to patients
- Performsadministrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulatedforms, and provides assistance at front desk
- Keys data intocomputer to maintain clinic and patient records
- May require otherduties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education:
- National certificationin Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization ORCertificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistantprogram with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses arenot acceptable.
- CPR (BLS for theHealthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front andback of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation ofskills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Coursemust also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not bean AHA certificate.
- State Lab Certificate(NV only)
- CMA certificationrequired from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the NationalCenter of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association,American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying bodyapproved by the Board of Medical Examiners. (South Carolina only)
Preferred Experience
- Previous MedicalAssistant experience preferred.
