CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Water/Wastewater Team at our office in Blacksburg, VA, Richmond, VA, Charlotte, NC, or Duluth, GA.

YOUR IMPACT:

Clean and safe water and wastewater management is vital for every communitys well-being. CHA delivers environmentally friendly and cost-effective water, wastewater and stormwater projects. We offer full engineering and support services for industrial and municipal systems from initial planning through permitting, design, bidding, construction administration, start-up, certification, and ongoing operational assistance.

The Assistant Project Manager conducts the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. At CHA, our Assistant Project Manager works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

This role monitors progress and performance against the project plan and acts immediately to resolve operational problems and minimize delays, as well as recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results, and makes appropriate corrections. The individual in this role also identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments. The Assistant Project Manager completes field assignments when appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience is required
• Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the respective engineering field as well as proven ability to practically apply it in a professional environment
• Proficient in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Understands QA/QC procedures
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
• Participation in a professional engineering society/organization is preferred
• Technical understanding of the design process, development of plans and specifications, and water/wastewater treatment operations is required.
• Proven ability to manage scope, budget, and schedule of technical tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision is a plus
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
• Solid problem solver

SALARY RANGE::

$67,000 - $75,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
