To provide specialized professional accounting services to an agency. LEVEL OF WORK:Advanced. SUPERVISION RECEIVED:Generally from an Accountant Manager or higher-level fiscal/administrative position. SUPERVISION EXERCISED:May supervise one lower level fiscal professional. LOCATION OF WORK:May be used by all state agencies. JOB DISTINCTIONS:Differs from Accountant 3 by the presence of serving as a technical specialist over assigned programs. Differs from Accountant Supervisors and Managers by the absence of direct supervision of required Accounting subordinates. Examples of Work May serve as a technical specialist performing in-depth/expanded activities in programs requiring advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities. Prepares required financial statements and fiscal reports which include the compilation and analysis of data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
