179D PE (Professional Engineer)Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and experienced 179D PE to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in conducting energy efficiency assessments, guiding clients through tax incentives related to energy-efficient building designs, and ensuring compliance with ASHRAE standards. This position requires a combination of engineering expertise, analytical skills, and excellent communication to successfully collaborate with clients and other team members.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct energy efficiency assessments for commercial and residential buildings.
- Guide clients through the certification processes for tax incentives related to energy-efficient building designs.
- Perform building inspections to evaluate energy efficiency measures and compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize energy modeling and simulation software to analyze building performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with architects and construction teams to ensure energy-efficient practices are integrated into design and construction processes.
- Analyze data from building performance to inform recommendations and track efficiency improvements.
- Travel to various project sites to oversee inspections and assessments as required.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in energy efficiency, sustainability, and ASHRAE standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Experience in energy efficiency assessments and familiarity with certification processes.
- Proficient in energy modeling and energy simulation software.
- Strong understanding of construction design and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
