Position Details:

Patient Safety Attendants at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team. The work of this class involves a wide range of patient care duties. Under supervision of the Supplemental Staffing Unit leadership, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature to maintain patient safety. Staff in this position will perform essential functions either in the assigned patient room or from the remote monitoring observation area.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
  • Six months healthcare experience; volunteer work in a healthcare setting may be considered

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Nursing Assistant Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing required.
  • Current CPR certification

Salary Range: Minimum 16.86 per hour - Maximum 26.13 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
