ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE LIMITED TO:
- Approach all interaction with Members, guests, and colleagues in a courteous, service-oriented manner
- Remain attentive, friendly, helpful, courteous, and respectful to Members, guests, managers and fellow employees at all times
- Assist with creating and implementing Maintenance department standard operating procedures
- Ensure all repairs comply with internal policies and external regulations (ADA, OSHA, etc.)
- Ensure and maintain a clean, safe and productive environment for Members, guests and staff
- Assist with and follow maintenance programs for a variety of equipment
- Assist with managing repair and installation activities, whether performed by internal or external service providers
- Assist with overseeing materials and parts required for maintenance and repairs and acquire necessary supplies
- Coordinate walk-throughs with Facilities Supervisor and Health Department inspectors to identify maintenance needs
- Assist with keeping maintenance log up to date and provide regular maintenance activity progress reports to General Manager
- Assist with managing preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and office equipment
- Respond to all maintenance situations with a strong sense of urgency
- Assist maintenance team and supervisor with essential duties including, but not limited to: sand, staining, painting, emptying trash, cleaning floors, repairing floors, servicing restrooms, cleaning windows, moving furniture, setting up for events, etc.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
- Assist with monitoring building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are avoided
- Inform Management, Staff and Members are aware of any maintenance activity that may raise questions
- Order supplies and/or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Maintain clean and organized Storage Room and Maintenance office
- Attend all trainings and meetings as required/requested
- Follow all established Club and departmental policies, procedures, standards, systems, controls and objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2 years' maintenance experience preferred; country club experience preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment/machinery
- Intermediate knowledge of proper chemical handling preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently stands/walks for prolonged periods of time, at least eight hours
- Ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and reach
- Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift at least 50 pounds; ability to maneuver a dolly or hand truck
- Ability to withstand continuous repetitive motions
- Works indoors and outdoors
- May be exposed to loud noise
- May come into contact with fumes, open flames, hot and cold surfaces, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, sharp knives and other objects
